ZYKR

2017 —

Music Series

Electronic · Rock · Songwriting

A music project begun in 2017. ZYKR has produced experimental electronic music, rock-influenced songwriting, and live multimedia performances — operating as a single ongoing body of work across releases, stages, and forms.

Recordings

HAIKU

EP

2017

The project’s first outing: three songs structured as the three lines of a haiku, each track corresponding to a syllable count. Electronic and improvised in feel — a first test of the form.

LITHIUM

Single

2019

A known song rearranged entirely for the ZYKR sound — presented as a single and a short film. Built as an exposure of the project’s sonic logic.

POLYMER

EP

2020

Polymer takes as its subject the performance of selfhood under pressure — the accumulated compromises that produce a different person. Three songs examining compliance, corporate identity, and political theater. The first release to cross the project into rock songwriting. Paranoid · FIP · Politico

NOIA

EP

2022

Named as a play on Paranoid, NOIA documents the point at which agency runs out. Three songs approaching the same exhaustion from different angles — a cracked structure, a compromised image, a dependency that substitutes for connection. Glass Palace · Cinema Verite · Prisoners Dilemma

EVERYTHING IS DULL

Album

2026

Written alone over eighteen months — music made daily as a form of maintenance and survival. The album documents a period of isolation and reconstruction with no audience in mind. Performed live from August 2022: first in solo configurations with guitar, voice, and electronics; expanded to an immersive multimedia solo performance in February 2023; then to a full band in September 2023. The record arrives June 2026. Breakdown · Rewind · LMLYMI · EID · BR
